Ute Chief - Yahmonite Sometimes described as a Ute Sub-Chief, Yahmonite was considered a friend to white men. The present McCoy area was familiar ground to him. Yarmony Mountain, the park, the creek, bridge and railroad siding are all named in his honor. As well as a neighborhood and street in Steamboat Springs. Routt County Native Americans B & W Photo
