Buffalo Pass
1909-1918
Black and white panorama photo of Buffalo Pass. Photo from album belonging to Harris Frazier, son of Floyd Frazier. Photo in album is labeled "Buffalo Pass." Another page has a typed description of the pass which says "The Buffalo Pass road led out of Strawberry Park up over the Divide to North Park. It had not been used for some years so was in pretty poor repair. The mountains through which it passed were a bit dreary as some years before there had been a bad fire that destroyed all the standing timber and the huge charred trunks lay like jackstraws all over." Floyd Frazier was the Secretary Treasurer of the Steamboat Springs Town and Quarry Company in 1909, owned a large ranch in Pleasant Valley, and helped build the bath house, the Frazier Building, and the Cabin Hotel.
