Ski Instructor Jo Semotan 1976 Jo Semotan stands at the Steamboat Ski Area's base in her ski instructor uniform. As one of Steamboat Ski Area's earliest ski instructors, Jo spent 30 years enthusiastically teaching adults and kids how to ski. She was instumental in connecting Steamboat's ski industry and ranching tradition and helped to coordinate the Ski Area's 1970s and 1980s Western-themed marketing campaigns.
