One-Way Plow in Operation Reseeding Range on Head of Reed Creek (Barley Patch) 1949
15 August 1949
"SE 1/4, SE 1/4, Section 8: T9N, R84W. One-Way Plow in Operation Reseeding Range on Head of Reed Creek (Barley Patch). Taken by G.D. Pickford on August 15, 1949. I have not found the same place that photo #1 [9340] was taken from, but photo #2 [9341] is not far from photo #1. The new Reed Creek road has changed the appearance of the Barley Patch. Photo #1 is heavy sagebrush, while photo #2 is mainly grass with little sagebrush. Willows are lacking in photo #2, but, there are several young willow patches in the park." Compare to photo 9341. Description of image: a man drives through a field away from the camera on a plow. A dog follows him. Pine trees in the background. Number 456146 in bottom right corner.
